Give a Damn| Event

Give a Damn is a week dedicated to social justice with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Inspired by the historical photo of LEC students in the 1960's protesting the Vietnam War, the week will reflect LEC’s long tradition of activism and speaking up about the current issues that impact society today.

Monday - March 18

- What do you Give a Damn About? students will write down what they care about, their passion areas, to display for the week. (upper Holden, during lunch)

Tuesday - March 19

- We will feature local organizations at a Give a Damn about Volunteering Fair during lunch outside Holden. - In the evening (time TBD) we will feature speakers from the same/varying organizations to talk more specifically about their roles and their work, held in the Library.

Wednesday - March 20

- Pride focused event

Thursday - March 21

- t shirt handout for picture recreation during lunch

- photo creation on back of college hall, time TBD

- event after photo (pep rally, give a damn about LEC, more details to come)

Friday - March 22

- Tracy Dickinson Day '78

- students and staff encouraged to wear purple and enjoy purple cupcakes for Tracy Dicksinson Day

- We will put together a scavenger hunt with pictures of Tracy hidden at all 7 places named after her - prizes for whoever can take selfies at each location the fastest.
